Dynamic Recipient Groups:
AlertOps Dynamic Routing features the ability to dynamically route alerts to specific groups on specific conditions in the inbound data. This can be accomplished in both API and E-mail integrations, with a slight variation.
API Integration:
In API Integrations, Dynamic Recipient Groups allow routing alerts to a specific group based on a field value in the incoming JSON containing certain text or match a certain Regex. Upon meeting that condition, AlertOps will route to the designated Recipient Groups (in this case, the On-Call Team)
E-mail Integration:
In E-mail Integrations, Dynamic Recipient Groups allow routing alerts to a specific group based on a field value in the incoming e-mail's subject or body containing certain text or match a certain Regex. Upon meeting that condition, AlertOps will route to the designated Recipient Groups (in this case, the On-Call Second Level Escalation Team)
Escalation Rule Override:
AlertOps Dynamic Routing features also include Escalation Rule Overrides. This allows the automatically modifying the escalation rule by either Time of Day or based on Source Data.
Time of Day Escalation Rule Override:
This feature allows selecting specific periods upon which another configured escalation rule will be used during the response process.
Source Data based Escalation Rule Override:
This Feature functions similar to the dynamic routing recipient groups, in that it uses specific fields and checks if their value satisfies a condition to utilize a different escalation rule. For API these are based on any fields in the inbound JSON, and for e-mail these are based on either the Subject or the Body.
