Slack Configuration Details

  1. Go to Apps & Integrations and click build.
  2. Click Make a Custom Integration.
  3. Then click on Incoming WebHooks and Add Incoming WebHooks Integration.
  4. Copy the WebHook URL.

AlertOps Group Configuration

  1. In AlertOps, choose the AlertOps Group and add a Group Contact Type: Slack Group.
  2. Paste the URL (that you copied from the incoming Slack WebHook URL) in the Contact Data field.

AlertOps Message Rule Configuration

  1. Add the Slack Group Contact Type to the Message Rule in AlertOps if it does not already exist.

Send Alert

Now, whenever you send an Alert using the Message Rule with the Slack Group Contact, a message will be sent to the Group’s Slack channel.
