Workflows are invoked by Escalation Policies. Escalation Policies in AlertOps is essentially a 'runbook' of sorts, and using Workflows, user can communicate to external people (Primary/Secondary/Manager/Stakeholder Users) and external systems (Example - Jira, ServiceNow etc.) as well.
To use a workflow in an Escalation Policy,
- Navigate to Configuration -> Escalation Policies -> Automation -> Add Workflow
Note: If an Escalation Policy is used as part of a Workflow (action), it cannot have additional Workflows assigned, and the button will be greyed out.
- Select respective workflows from the Available Workflows and move to the Selected Workflows
- Click Submit button
